Finding focus when there is much to distract you

I tend to be an all or nothing person. On the surface this sounds fabulously disciplined, but in reality it’s dangerous. Operating in polarities is rarely beneficial or realistic.

I’ve been busy working at home and struggling to maintain focus while all is swirling around me. My FOMO and curiosity combine together to be a ginormous distraction or avoidance tactic. While my curiosity and FOMO may be getting satisfied, my anxiety increases and my productivity decreases.

To find center and focus it sometimes feels like denial, avoidance or living in a bubble could be a viable solution. That would be irresponsible.

I love the moderating guidance that is suggested in this article. I’ll be applying these very timely tactic as of today. I look forward to the increased focus and productivity that it brings.
